Salt Air Striders

 Salt Air Striders (SAS) members participate in local charity events/races varying from 3.1 miles to the marathon. Most of our routes are on the roads, however we also venture onto local Cape Cod trails. Most of our members join us for the rigor and structure of our group training program. However, we also understand the need for balance between our running avocation and other important commitments, especially family and careers. We attempt to maximize the training opportunities of our group runs.

Salt Air Striders promote three specific races held in Dennis and adjust its training schedule to peak during these events.  Each SAS member is welcome to choose the races and events they would prefer without pressure to compete with the club.

​As a USATF recognized Club, SAS ensures all coaches remain current on the required SafeSport annual training and proper background screening.

 

Why is this important? - In addition to the thriving and very active local community in the Mid-Cape area, Cape Cod is very much a vacation destination with tourist visiting us from around the World.  Having the SafeSport training offers a level of comfort to all SAS members and guest during the trainings and events.
